My basketball competition experience days in singapore ^^

Well, first of all, i am just proud to be KL's no.14. :) and our trip in this mssm in singapore is nice. Ok, back to the action. First, after a training session around start of august, we received a news from the coach and the kl co-curiculum comittee that we are going to play in Singapore, not in the maba stadium(which we usually play competition on). :p So, after that, the coach told us about the groupings. After listening, silence was in the hall, then suddenly chung mai (KL's no 9) said:" omg....perak again. :s as perak is the strongest state in Malaysia, seeded 1. We have bad experience with Perak as they just owned and humiliated us so bad last year in the semi-final. :( Fortunately, Selangor or Penang is not the group as they seed 2 and 3 respectively. :) but 5th seed Johor is in our group. lolz. yes, you guessed it, KL is 4th seed. :p And so then, the next week after over training and intense warm up which i fainted, :s the week arrive for us the KL basketball team to shine. We go on a bus all to ourselves and in about 4-5hours time. We arrived Singapore.
Singapore is a great city, bright with lights, fill with skyscrapers. and we even saw the lion fish thingy. lol. And guessed what, our stay is in a hotel. :) woot. but is a 4 star hotel though but still not bad. :) The head coach marked attendance first then assign room mates. All of us are like know each other well so we don't mind who room mate who. After we settled, had a nice dinner. (Ham sandwich was fantastic) :) The next day, we all went to be court to practice at 9.30, as that is our secsion after the Selangor Team. We arrived about 9, and the Selangor team was so geared up and played so well especially their no.5(people calls him Darren). He can beat 3 of his own teammate and even go for the basket. :0 we were like omg and wtf and so on. lol. To make that worst, their playmaker no.8(Guang Hoi) set up ball so precisely. Our captain which is our playmaker no.4 (Lin Huang) was amazed but kept his cool. So then, is our turn to train. The Selangor team watched us for awhile. Then they decide to friendly match us. The coach agreed as it will be good practice. :) We KL team got tricks hidden up from our sleves. Haha. Our Shoot guard which is the no.9 Chung Mai, shoots in almost all his shots like 4/5. Then our capt done some nice pass and lay up himself some nice hoops pass 2 to 3 Selangor and Tian Lun which is our Power Forward. Block quite some number of shots from Selangor and scored some points. Btw, i came and play for 4 minutes in the 3rd quarter and 3 minutes in the 4th quarter which i scored like 6 or 7 points i forgot. :) But the Selangor Team was clearly good and prove us why they are the 2nd best in Malaysia. Bating us 72 to 65. :( well, we tried. Selangor was anyway quite impressed as KL improved quite alot. :P There you go. :)
Then 2 days after that, is the competition. In our group, we came second, winning 5 games and loss 1. The 1 loss is to Perak of course but was kinda close like 82-59. :) scored 5 points there. lols. so then we face the 3rd place of Group B which is Pahang in the quarter Final and ease pass them. score like 6x to 4x. forgot exact score. :D So then semi Final we come. :) We face Perak again....-.- and the best player in their team is no. 10 forgot who and didn't mention him earlier but his fast and scores well. He scored 23 points against us. :( we lose 7x-53 i think. :) So there you go, Perak vs. Selangor in the Finals and 3rd and 4th placing is Penang and KL!!! In our match, we played like the best performance we have ever played. Including me which i though i can never play that good until now. T_T I only play my best in a major competition, but i don't think i will play as good as that day anymore. i score 13 points which was my personal best. :) i was a reserve actually. :) thats why i am no.14. Anyway, whos in the team sure has talent that scout spotted. Like i was spotted when playing at this where ar. erm.....he kiara something, played there quite frequently with my frenz, not sri hartams btw. :) Ok back to it, KL ended up beating Penang as a surprice Bronze Medalist!!! haha!! And all of us was like so happy in disbelief beating them 62-55. haha! Basically we done well. :) Other game which is the final which started after our game. We were amazed how both teams, Perak and Selangor played. They were good. Perak got the upper hand in the end, beating Selangor 82-76. Selangor were looking sad but look cheered up as i suspect they think Perak deserve to win. :P The winning team which is Perak had to fight Singapore as thats the reason why we come to there. Close fight as what my KL friends said. Singapore won 72-67 only. lol. And there end the tournament. Medal ceremony was commenced and we proudly receive our bronze medal. :P haha.
And there it is. The Mssm Basketball Championship. Unforgetable one and a very good experience. And till now after august, i still cannot forget that experience. ( well, mostly) :) haha.
Looking forward for the next Mssm. Most probably going to play for KL again although my school is Tis now. :)
Thats all, and i will continue to play basketball as my most favourite sport. :D
